“Should we bring another child into this world?”…

“Should I make that career change I was planning for years?”..
When should we buy? Or maybe, should we sell? When, Now?Later?
The Fear of Big Changes
The way I see it, most people are afraid of “big changes”, it’s just the natural course of things, Look at animals in nature, we don’t see them immigrate from their habitat saying ”Hey, let’s check the grounds over that hill, see if there’s better food & shelter there”.. call it the “Natural-flow” of things.
Human beings, on the other hand, can sometimes overcome this “Natural-Flow” by yielding their will power towards a purpose/ a cause, the chances of that “CHANGE” to occur, relies on how important is the purpose/cause to that person.
Still, big changes are “painful”. Personally, I’d rather postpone discussions over them whenever they come up, which brings me to the first excuse I say to myself or others once I need to “make the decision”- IT’S NOT THE RIGHT TIME!
Yay!
We don’t need to deal with reality now, we’ll do it later, it’s not the right time..
Don't be afraid to take chances
Dealing with the financial markets for years, analyzing the movements for investors led me to the conclusion; some people are initiative and explore themselves, some people are just too afraid to ‘take a chance’ or ‘make a move’ and they need a little help in the form of statistics and reasonable evaluation / facts.
For other people, it’s just a ‘loose and loose’ game – they will never make a decision, Regardless of the analysis or projections.
Postponing Decisions: The "Not Right Time" Excuse
These investors are waiting for an opportunity that will NEVER come – they just don’t know it. Truth is, there is no “right time”, we hardly (if ever) make decisions which are not based on our PAST experiences (good or bad) combined with our FUTURE plans/calculations and fears.
All these PAST & FUTURE elements block us from seeing the ONLY true time that exists and that is – HERE & NOW. For other people, it’s just a ‘loose and loose’ game – they will never make a decision, Regardless of the analysis or projections.
A Paradigm Shift: The Impact of 7/10 on Perspective
As an Israeli-Jew, a lot has changed for me after 7/10
I don’t look at things the same way I used to.
At first, I was shocked by the way the world reacted (better to say -ignored) to what had really happened. I said to myself “It can’t be true, they probably don’t show the people the full picture, they show them whatever they want to show them…”
Most of the people around the world have good common sense – they will understand..
The western world will not let this monstrosity go unpunished, No way. Not in 2024 – can’t happen.
Well, it most certainly CAN!
As a person who learned history, I can’t help but feel like a fool, for history has proven to us (over and over again) throughout the ages that it has got nothing to do with reason or common sense.
I am pretty sure, that like myself, the German Jewish Banker ‘Yentel’ said (in different words) : “This can’t be, the world won’t let it happen, no way, Not in 1939 – Can’t happen. Well..
We all know how that ended up”.
If you are Jewish and you’re reading this, and you don’t live in Israel –
I beg you , my brother ,my sister, try to see it with a clear eye, unaffected by your PAST fears or FUTURE plans, there is no other time but here and now.
Facing Reality: A Lesson from History
‘NEVER AGAIN’ for me, emphasize the difference between Jews before and after the existence of ISRAEL The difference is, Nowadays, we are no longer a bunch of sheep , we have a country and an army , we don’t need to take off our MEZUZOT,
We don’t need to hide our KIPOT any more.
Nowadays? If you go and slaughter Jews – you will pay the price (unlike any time in history) You think if you’re an American-Jew this doesn’t apply to you?
You think that you are safe? That Jews have enough money to be non-expendable by the U.S government? Well.. so did Yentel back in 39’.
The Harsh Reality: No Safer Place Than Israel
I hate to say this, but that’s a fact – Some nations want to eliminate us , some nations don’t really care but still would rather ISRAEL didn’t exist.
Other nations will just look aside and shut when other nations will try to eliminate us . It happened only 75 years ago!!! We can’t afford a short memory in this case.
The truth is, there is no safer place for you (and your children, and your children’s children…) BUT ISRAEL.
